Specialist presents WATCHING ME, WATCHING YOU, an exhibition of still and moving images by Alissa Dymally Williams. Williams’ new photographs and video installation explores ideas of ‘the image’, by challenging traditional methods of media consumption and questioning frameworks of perception. Referencing different modes of viewership borrowed from cinema and television, Williams’ photographs alter and obfuscate a familiar media language, while her video work embraces the theater as an arena for storytelling, transformation and altered perspectives.
